Photobiomodulation Therapy: a soft LED hood for scalp health

For men and women in Deerfield Beach with thinning hair or a scalp that needs care. You rest under a soft LED light hood as one part of the plan Júnior writes for you.

The practitioner listens to a client, who is seen from behind, during a consultation.

01

Before your session

People book LED light sessions here while they work on thinning hair, or on a scalp that feels oily, dry or irritated.

You don't have to decide on your own that this is the right session. At your first visit, Júnior looks at your scalp and your history. Then he suggests the sessions that fit your case. That can be LED light alone, or LED light mixed with oxygen or high-frequency sessions.

The practitioner's hands lower a soft LED light hood over the headrest of a reclining chair.

02

During your session

You settle in and rest under a soft LED light hood placed over your head, so the light reaches your scalp. Some clients know this service as LED light therapy.

In general, photobiomodulation uses low-level red or near-infrared light shining on the scalp. You stay still under the hood for a set time. Some places use a laser cap for this kind of care. At JS Hair Therapy, it is the LED hood.

Here the light is used to support scalp health and hair growth as part of your treatment plan. It sits alongside any other sessions Júnior picked for your case.

03

After your session

Your next steps follow the written plan from your consultation. It pairs sessions in the clinic with care you do at home between visits.

Júnior checks your progress at every visit and changes the plan as your scalp responds. In general, light therapy for the scalp is done as a series of repeat sessions, not as a single visit. Your plan sets how LED light fits into yours.

Photobiomodulation Therapy questions

What does Photobiomodulation Therapy feel like?

You rest under a soft LED light hood while the light shines on your scalp, so the session is spent sitting back and staying still. In general, photobiomodulation uses low-level red or near-infrared light aimed at the scalp, and the hood stays in place for the length of the session.

Do I need a consultation before my first LED light session?

Yes, every plan at JS Hair Therapy begins with the 60-minute Hair Loss Consultation, which you can book online at any time. Júnior checks your scalp with a micro-camera and asks about your history. LED light sessions come after that visit, when he suggests them for your case.

Is this the same as a laser cap for hair loss?

No, for this service we use an LED light hood that you rest under during the session. Photobiomodulation is the general name for using low-level light on the scalp, and some places use laser caps for it. Ours is the soft LED hood, used as one part of your written plan.
