High Frequency Scalp Treatment: a warm glass wand for an oily scalp

For men and women in Deerfield Beach with an oily scalp. Júnior Sousa works over your scalp with a glass electrode wand that carries a gentle current.

01

Before your session

Clients book high-frequency for an oily scalp, to help keep it clean and calm. You don't have to decide on it before you come in.

At your consultation, Júnior looks at your scalp and your history first, then suggests the sessions that fit your case. That may be high-frequency on its own, or high-frequency alongside oxygen or LED light sessions.

02

During your session

Júnior holds a glass electrode wand and moves it over your scalp. A gentle current runs through the glass, and you feel your scalp warm under it. The current warms and stimulates the skin of your scalp, which is why this session is used for an oily scalp.

High-frequency wands in general glow while they run and make a soft buzz. Some people also notice a faint fresh smell, or a tiny snap of static if the glass lifts off the skin. Knowing about the glow and the sound ahead of time makes a first session easier to relax into.

03

After your session

Your high-frequency sessions are part of the written plan Júnior gives you at your consultation, which pairs sessions in the clinic with care you do at home.

At every visit he checks how your scalp is doing and changes the plan as your scalp responds, so the high-frequency sessions in it follow what he sees each time.

High Frequency Scalp Treatment questions

What does a High Frequency Scalp Treatment feel like?

You feel warmth. The gentle current in the glass wand warms your scalp as Júnior moves it over your head. Wands like this in general also glow and hum softly while they run, so a light buzz close to your ears is a normal part of the session.

How do I know if high frequency is right for my scalp?

Júnior works that out with you at your consultation. He looks at your scalp and your history first, then suggests the sessions that fit your case, which may be high-frequency, oxygen, LED light or a mix. You don't have to choose one on your own before you book.

Is a High Frequency Scalp Treatment medical treatment?

No, hair and scalp therapy at JS Hair Therapy is not medical treatment. When Júnior sees something during your visit that needs a doctor, he refers you to one, and you can keep your scalp care sessions going alongside that care.

How do I book a High Frequency Scalp Treatment?

Start by booking the Hair Loss Consultation online. Every plan at JS Hair Therapy begins with it, and your high-frequency sessions come after, once Júnior has checked your scalp and written a plan that includes them.
