About JS Hair Therapy
JS Hair Therapy is run by Júnior Sousa, Hair Loss Practitioner. He is a Florida licensed cosmetologist (license CL1311818), a certified Hair Loss Practitioner by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), and completed the U.S. Trichology Institute (USTI) Hair Loss Practitioner program.
We help men and women with thinning hair, hair loss, or a scalp that flakes, itches or feels oily, dry or irritated, including scalp conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. Every plan starts with the same 60-minute consultation, so we know your scalp before we suggest a single session.

What happens at the 60-minute consultation?
Your consultation takes 60 minutes. Júnior asks about your history, then checks your scalp with a micro-camera so you see it magnified on a screen. He explains what he sees in plain words. You leave with a written treatment plan for your case, with sessions in the clinic and care you do at home.
Is hair and scalp therapy medical treatment?
No, hair and scalp therapy is not medical treatment. Júnior is a Florida licensed cosmetologist and certified Hair Loss Practitioner who cares for your hair and scalp. When he sees something during your visit that needs a doctor, he refers you to one, and you can keep your scalp care sessions alongside that.
Do you also care for a flaky, oily or itchy scalp?
Yes, we care for scalps that flake, itch, or feel oily, dry, sensitive or irritated, including flare-ups of seborrheic dermatitis and scalp psoriasis. Sessions include a clay mask for flakes and oil, hydrating serums for a dry scalp, and calming products for redness and itching. Your written plan names the sessions picked for your scalp.
How do sessions work after the consultation?
You follow the written plan Júnior gives you at your consultation, with sessions in the clinic and care you do at home. He checks your progress at every visit and changes the plan as your scalp responds. Scalp therapy sessions can be booked one by one or as part of a package.
How do I book my first visit?
You can book online at any time. Choose the Hair Loss Consultation for your first visit, since every plan at JS Hair Therapy starts with it. We see clients Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, at our clinic in Deerfield Beach, and your visit takes about 60 minutes.
